Selling your car:

There are several different ways of advertising and selling your car, Firstly you should send us some photos and full details on your car and we'll advertise it here on our site for free, we'll also advertise it in several print publications including: The Pattaya Mail, Phuket Gazette, and Baht & Sold websites.

You can always sell to a dealer, a dealer will pay you immediate cash for a vehicle and take it straight away, however this option is only useful for people who need to sell quickly as the prices offered are well below "fair market value".

Another option is to advertise in the Bangkok Post. Expat Motors is able to offer a month of advertising in the daily newspaper in a 1"x1" box in the "Autos" classified section for 4,000 Baht, if you were to do it yourself it would be a approximately 900 Baht per day. You can manage the advertisement yourself, or we'll do it for you.

You can also leave your car on display at one of the select dealers we work with, this would be for people who no longer need the car, this option gives the car higher exposure. The car would be displayed at a used car centre in the Sri-Nakarin area of Bangkok. Give us a fair price and we'll take care of the rest.

Firstly email us full details and photos on the car, no huge files please, 100-200KB is fine.

To sell your car you'll need the following documents:

Blue registration book, signed on the page with your details. Copies of the photo and visa page of your passport (signed), copies of either your work permit (signed), or a letter from either your embassy or the immigration dept confirming your address. A car transfer form and a document to allow a 3rd party to complete the transfer on your behalf if you do not wish to complete the transfer at the transport dept.
